Actually I thought the Daniel book was OK, but without a doubt the biggest piece of rubbish I was ever expected to read and believe was the Isaiah Books! …Yes, 2 of them! Seemed like they would never end, they just explained the verses' any which way they liked and we were expected to believe it. I was continually asking myself “Where did they get this rubbish from?”

Anyone remember the awake on... we are as old as our moms?
by Cabin in the woods inbecause a female is supposedly born with all of her eggs intact that would make us all our mothers age.
let me see... calendar wise i am still 52... if i were my moms age i would be turning 99 this year!

If its true that a "female is born with all of her eggs intact" which if I understand correctly, it means that she doesn't produce new eggs during her life, then looking at the big picture with eternal life in view, that means that a woman can only have a limit number of children, then after her eggs are used up she stops producing forever,...... I wonder if that's God purpose???????

Drowning in Literature

if i hadn't thrown out most of the books, mags, brochures and bound volumes i've accumulated over the decades, i swear i would need to build an addition on my house and call it the "literature wing"!.
anyone else used to, or still are, drowning in literature?

Some very sad stories their, I also lost a lot because I believed that soon The End would came, I could’ve had a house of my own by now.
But this thread is about “Courage” so I’ll stick to that for now, in the move “The wizard of OZ”, near the end when the Wizard was caring out their wish’s, the Lion asked for Courage, the Wizard said something I’ll always remember, something like…”my friend, you have Courage but your getting Fear mixed up with Wisdom,….” What the wizard was telling the Lion that sometimes is Wisdom to run or hide not Fear, why stick your neck out if you know your going to get made fun of.
“Don’t throw your pearls at swine” they tell us one hand, but then they want us to talk they use another scripture, whatever thought you want to impress on, no matter how right or wrong it is you can find a scripture to support it.

I looked it up on www.dictionary.com It say …” A peddler of devotional literature.”
The term “Devotional Literature” doesn’t necessarily apply to religions items , it can also apply to encyclopaedias.
I can see why they changed the Title to Pioneers.
Maybe the Apostle Paul was right when he said “we are NOT peddlers of the good news of the Christ” but he was referring to himself and the first Christians. It seems that the followers of the WTS are “peddlers of the good news of the Watchtower” even by their own description.

My apologies too, it seems I've started something I didn't mean to. If you look at the whole website http://www.nospank.net ... its devoted to Anti child spanking. It mentions examples of other people from countries and regilions who overly spank their children. Those JW's were just one of them.

I do believe that the people that did this are unique and extreme, they are not a sample of what the average JW is like. Its just something I found, it shows how psycho some can be. In the name of God some justify anything.
